Pork Kilawin

This one appetizing pork recipe that you can try. The combination of pork, vinegar and all other spices will definitely make you drool. You can either boil, grill or deep fry the pork depending on your choice before cutting them into strips.

Here’s how to cook Pork Kilawin:

Ingredients:

500g Pork (either pork belly or pork head skin)
1 medium sized Red Onion (strips)
3 medium sized Tomatoes (strips, seeds removed)
1 cup Vinegar
1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 tsp Brown Sugar
2 cloves Garlic (finely minced)
Green Onions
Fresh Chilis
Salt
Pepper

Process:

1. Boil Pork until tender. Let it cool and cut into strips. Set aside.

2. In a bowl, combine in the pork strips, onions, tomatoes, garlic, brown sugar, vinegar and soy sauce.

3. Season with salt and pepper. Add in the green onions and fresh chilies. Mix.

4. Let everything soaked in vinegar before serving.

Note from Delish:

This version doesn’t include the grilling process. But you always have the option to grill the pork before cutting into strips. It’s also even delicious if you use coconut vinegar. I just added a bit of sugar just to neutralize the sour and salty flavor.
