Looking for some pork recipes? This one popular pork recipe can be one of your options. You can even find it being served on fiestas and special occasions. It’s very easy to make. The combination of spices and flavors will make you ask for more. You can use any pork cut of your choice, but we will be using pork belly for this one.

Here’s how to cook Humba Recipe:

Ingredients:

500g Pork Belly (cut into serving sizes)
1/2 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1 cup Pineapple Juice
1 tsp. Peppercorns
1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
Bay Leaves
1/2 cup Black Beans (tausi)
1/2 cup Dried Banana Blossoms
1 medium sized Onions (chopped)
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
Salt
Pepper
Canola Oil

Process:

1. Heat some canola oil in a pot. Saute onion and garlic.

2. Add in the pork and cook until light brown. Then add the bay leaves and the peppercorns. Keep on stirring for about 2 minutes.

3. Pour in the pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce and brown sugar. Cover and let it cook for about 20 minutes. Do not stir.

4. Add in the black beans and the banana blossoms. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 10 minutes.

Ready and Serve!

This is one of the most requested pork recipes. No wonder because it’s absolutely delicious. For this one, I’ve got a very salty dried banana blossoms, so I have to soak it in water for 15 minutes.
