How to Cook Pancit Miki Guisado

We Filipinos love pancit. That’s why we even came up with tons of pancit recipes. And pancit miki guisado is one easy and cheap pancit recipe you can cook at home. For this version, we will be using chicken neck because it’s affordable.

Here’s how to cook Pancit Miki Guisado:

Ingredients:

3/4 kl Pancit Miki
500g Chicken Necks
1 Carrot (julienned)
150g Cabbage (Shredded)
50 g Green Onions (1 inch long)
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1 medium-sized Onion (chopped)
3 cloves Garlic (minced)
Oil
Salt
Pepper

Process:

  1. Put a small amount of oil in a pan. Pan-fry the chicken necks to cook. Season them with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. On the same pan, saute onion and garlic. Then add in the carrots, cabbage, and green onions.
  3. Then add in the miki and toss to mix. Add in the cooked chicken necks and season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes.

Note from Ren:

You can add water before adding the miki if you want. But I prefer it stir-fried. You can also add other vegetables like green beans and sayote. But since the purpose of this recipe to create a cheap option. I just settled using cabbage and carrots.
